On this week’s episode of Sports Cards Nonsense, Mike and Jesse are live from the main stage of the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, also known as The National. They discuss the convention at large and how it measured up to their expectations in terms of crowds and card pricing. They then hit on some news stories from the week in sports, including the Russell Westbrook trade to the Lakers and the Max Scherzer trade to the Dodgers. Next, they bring on Peter Steinberg, President of SGC, to discuss the state of card grading in the card hobby today, what plans SGC has for the future, and how they view themselves as an alternative to PSA.
