Bill Simmons: What was the most surprising text you got in the last 24 hours?
Kevin Durant: Obama.
Simmons: Oh!
Durant: Obama … well, he sent a text through somebody to get to me.
Simmons: What’d he say?
Durant: Congrats, your defense was really good, which was random.
Simmons: KD’s like, "My defense has always been good, Mr. Former President!"
Durant: He told me to enjoy it. Have some fun. Typical stuff.
Simmons: Don’t go to the White House.
Durant: I wasn’t expecting that.
Simmons: Who else? This is good. This is a fun game. Obama, that’s gonna be tough to top.
Durant: Yeah.
Simmons: No Rihanna text?
Durant: Nah.
Simmons: Why does she like Cavs so much? Where did that come from?
Durant: She loves LeBron!
Simmons: OK.
Durant: She’s been a big LeBron fan for a long time. Everywhere he went, she’s just a big fan. I don’t even really think she really watches basketball.
Simmons: Does that mean she’s a front-runner? ’Cause LeBron’s been the best player in the world for 10 years.
Durant: That’s what basketball’s about, attaching yourself to players.
