In the second episode of The Ringer’s NBA Redraftables, Bill Simmons and Joe House redraft the 1997 NBA draft. Spoilers, but Tim Duncan was and is the top pick. After that, there was still a lot of talent in the top five. Players like Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups, and Stephen Jackson may or may not have been selected to new teams. Outside of the top five, things get a bit dicier, and Bill and House have to dive deep into NBA history to round out the lottery selections.
