The Ringer seeks an associate producer to join its Los Angeles–based digital video team. The ideal candidate will be creative and self-motivated, and will possess experience in all aspects of production, including a proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects. A keen sense for developing compelling and innovative video is a must, and the desire to make ever-improving content is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with producers and senior producers in support of all production
- Act as edit lead or edit support for a full range of video projects, from preproduction to posting across our various platforms
- Supply preproduction and research for studio and field shoots
- Operate studio or field production equipment as necessary
- Aid in the planning of content scheduling and production development
- Most importantly, make smart, creative, industry-leading work you’re proud of
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in digital video/media
- Expertise with Adobe Creative programs, specifically Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Familiarity creating a range of video content, including social-first videos, innovative talent-based pieces, studio segments, explainers, and features
- Deep understanding of news and story lines, with sound journalistic ethics and judgment
- Strong writing skills, including a capacity for SEO-friendly headlines and descriptions
- Capacity to work and react quickly in a digital news environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure
- Extensive knowledge of and curiosity about sports, pop culture, and tech
- An enthusiasm for The Ringer’s content
