Midseason Tape Truths: CFP Contenders, Superlatives, and the Best Offenses and Defenses

Todd and Steve kick things off with the latest news surrounding Arch Manning and Texas, the Colts firing GM Chris Ballard, and Jalen Hurts’s blood clots. Then, the guys reveal their midseason Tape Truths by drafting the teams they expect to make the College Football Playoff and debating the cases for Miami, Georgia, Indiana, and BYU. Next, they hand out their midseason superlatives, including college football’s most irreplaceable player, the best offense and defense, coach of the year, and which coordinators could be next in line for a head coaching job. To close, they explain their takes on the proposed 24-team CFP expansion.

Check out the guys’ top 50 big board and Todd’s mock draft here.
