About the episode

Season 16 of the Fozcast is here—and we are back with a bang! 🔥

To kick things off, we’re joined by one of the greatest goalkeepers to ever play the game. He’s a man who won multiple Premier Leagues and two Champions Leagues with Manchester United, and someone Ben knows very well, having been teammates with him back in 2008 … it’s Edwin van der Sar! 🧤

Edwin takes us right back to the beginning, to that iconic Ajax side of 1995, when he won his first Champions League alongside some of the greatest players of a generation, including Clarence Seedorf, Marc Overmars, and Edgar Davids. A truly special team. 👀

He then opens up about his time at Juventus and the moment the club replaced him with a certain Gianluigi Buffon—and how that decision ultimately led him to Manchester United, where he went on to win seven more major trophies. 🏆

If you love the GK episodes, this one is an absolute must-watch.
