NazReid

Preseason question: What does more Naz look like? Reid and these Hornets might be basketball soulmates. Charles Lee’s squad shot 3s at a higher rate than any other team last season; during the same period, Reid shot 3s at a higher rate than any other big man. Now that they’ve joined forces, the instant offense that turned Reid into a perennial Sixth Man of the Year candidate in Minnesota will be fully unleashed. In his first crack as a starter, Naz will bring a new dynamism to the Hornets’ frontcourt. He may be the most gifted big-man ball handler in the NBA, and his lightning-quick one-motion release looks like it should belong to someone half a foot shorter than he is. Reid and the Hornets may be the B-side of the LaMelo Ball blockbuster, but there’s a good chance that this pairing will rip just as hard as the new-look Wolves do.
