JoshHart

Preseason question: Knowing it will linger into the season, will his contract situation be a distraction? In the most complimentary way, there’s nothing else to really wonder about Hart, a glue-guy extraordinaire who persevered through his own iffy jump shot to repeatedly show why the world champion New York Knicks could not have won it all without him. Hart is bold. He’s relentless. He rips down rebounds and then, in a plume of indignation, blows through backpedaling defenders on his way to a momentum-turning layup. Will the Knicks reward him with a new extension that’s able to keep everyone happy? That’s pretty much all that matters right now. Hart’s 3-point shot will come and go, but if he’s not dialed in all the way and willing to sacrifice his body for the sake of the team, the Knicks simply won’t have the edge they’re used to.
