DillonBrooks

Preseason question: I love everything Brooks is all about. He’s a culture-shaping winner who has raised the floor of every team he’s been on. But if there’s one thing about Brooks’s game that could stand to improve, it’s his tendency to act as a black hole. Once the ball gets passed to him, there’s a less than 50 percent chance that anyone else on his team will hold it before the next possession. Literally. According to Hoops Junkie, Brooks ranked 302nd out of 302 qualifying players last year in pass percentage, a stat that measures how often a player moves the ball after they touch it. That’s not necessarily an insurmountable defect, but he’s never been particularly efficient and doesn’t warrant the number or type of shots he takes. Phoenix’s offense would benefit if he shared the wealth a bit more than he has for the majority of his career.
