Analysis
By Kirk GoldsberryPreseason question: Will the jumper snap back into form? Back in 2024-25, White converted over 38 percent of his nine 3-point attempts per game, making him one of the most reliable perimeter threats in the whole league. But last season, his numbers from downtown cratered. His efficiency dipped below 33 percent. The optimists in Boston will say last season was an anomaly—he’s been a solid shooter for years—and if they’re right, White’s bounce-back shooting will go a long way toward ensuring the Celtics offense remains among the best in the NBA. But if they’re wrong and White continues to struggle from deep, Boston’s spacey offense, now without Jaylen Brown, will be much easier to defend.
