After an appetizing Thanksgiving slate, it’s time for the leftovers. And that’s what it looked like Carson Wentz and the Eagles feasted on against the Bears. The sophomore QB and MVP front-runner tossed three TDs, while the Philadelphia defense held Mitchell Trubisky and the Chicago offense to three points in the rout. Meanwhile, the other leading MVP candidate, Tom Brady, tossed four touchdowns despite poor play from the injury-riddled New England offensive line as the Patriots beat the Dolphins in Foxborough and secured their 17th consecutive winning season. But perhaps the best throw on the day has come from a non-QB: Mohamed Sanu hurled a deep pass to fellow Falcons wideout Julio Jones, improving to 6-for-6 passing on his career. That’s not quite an MVP-caliber line, but it’s surely better than what some teams trot out on Sundays.
