Preseason question: Can OG make Skechers cool? I don’t know what else there is to ask about Anunoby, who coupled elite defense with a knack for making basically every shot he took during one of the more remarkable individual playoff runs we’ve ever seen. Anunoby drilled three more 3-pointers during New York’s most recent postseason than he did in its 2025 run, despite attempting 31 fewer shots. He led all players in true shooting percentage (72.1, lol) and somehow generated a 133.8 efficiency mark in late-clock situations. That’s not a number any human being should be capable of submitting at such a high volume—for reference, Jalen Brunson finished the playoffs at 85.7 in the same category. The Knicks needed every bit of Anunoby’s magic to finish off the San Antonio Spurs in a highly competitive five-game series. Can he re-create that tough shotmaking brilliance, or did Anunoby catch lightning in a bottle?
