NormanPowell

Preseason question: Powell followed the money to Chicago instead of sticking around in Miami for the Giannis revolution. The question now is how long he’ll grit it out with a rebuilding Bulls club. Chicago needs Powell’s shooting, and with a less tanktastic lottery odds system in place this season, there’s nothing to stop the Bulls from being the best that they can be—besides, y’know, defense, experience, and most other on-court factors. But Powell’s contract (two years with a team option in the second year) is built to flip. Until then, there really seem to be only two paths for the 12th-year guard: dial in a defined role to show contenders what they could have or let ’er rip and try to break the scoring barrier.
