DT

Terry Bell

Lakeland, FL

Ole Miss, Miami, Florida State

Ledford: Ray Lewis’ cousin grew up a Cane fan, but FSU has been on him the hardest and he’s all Nole right now, but if Miami pushes hard, it could get interesting.

Fomby: He loves Florida State and in my opinion is already committed to the Noles. He is just waiting until the right time to make his decision known to the public.

LB

Tony Steward

St. Augustine, FL

Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Miami

Ledford: Clemson has done an outstanding job recruiting Steward, but in the end, his love for the Noles and the staff in Tallahassee should prevail.

Fomby: He grew up running plays in the back yard as his idol Ernie Sims and he is still in love with the Seminoles today. I think he signs with FSU.

RB

Isaiah Crowell

Columbus, GA

Florida State, Clemson, Georgia, Alabama

Ledford: Crowell has been a Dawg his entire life and I don’t expect that to change when it comes time for him to announce.

Fomby: I have always had a good feeling about Crowell and Georgia, but Jarvis Jones transferring back to UGA sealed the deal in my opinion. Alabama is still recruiting him hard and will not go away. If Richt continues to struggle, watch out for the Tide.

DE

Jadeveon Clowney

Rock Hill, SC

North Carolina, Alabama, Clemson, South Carolina

Ledford: Very intense battle between SC and Bama. Clowney plans to take a few visits during the season, but the Gamecock ties are just too strong here.

Fomby: Alabama is really making a push and the latest NCAA investigation could swing things in the Crimson Tide’s favor, but until something serious happens he is all Gamecock.

DE

Ray Drew

Thomasville, GA

Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Clemson, LSU

Ledford: Drew is immensely enjoying the recruiting process, and has been linked to several schools, but fact is, only Drew and those closest to him know the real deal. I give UGA the edge because of his relationship with Richt and the staff in Athens.

Fomby: With FSU losing Lemonier last year, they will work extra hard for Drew’s signature this year. Georgia’s season struggles will come back to hurt them on National Signing Day.

TE

Nick O'Leary

Palm Beach, FL

Florida, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Georgia

Ledford: Miami’s TE tradition, their use of the TE, and proximity to home give the Canes the edge in a heated battle with FSU.

Fomby: Beau Reliford has one catch for FSU in the first two games. FSU is not showing O’Leary that they can really utilize him. If this trend continues I think the Canes pick up a very good tight end when the ink dries.

DE

Jermauria Rasco

Shreveport, LA

LSU,  Alabama, Florida State, Texas

Ledford: There are a number of schools that Rasco could legitimately end up at, but the FSU talk has become a little louder lately, so I’ll go with the Noles at this point.

Fomby: After his recent visit to Texas Rasco shut things down and that said to me he found his home. If the Longhorns decide to pass on him Alabama, Auburn, and LSU re-enter the race.

WR

Kelvin Benjamin

Belle Glade, FL

Miami, Florida, LSU, West Virginia, Florida State

Ledford: Relationship with Azzanni, ties to UF, and chance to play immediately make the Gators the favorite.

Fomby: If you are not a Gator then you are just Gator Bait! He is all Florida and this one is not even close.

ATH

Kris Frost

Matthews, NC

Auburn, Michigan, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Cal, North Carolina

Ledford: Frost recently stated publicly that Auburn and Michigan are separating themselves from the pack. He prefers offense for now and both the Tigers and Wolverines have assured him that opportunity up front. It’s close, but I’ll go with Auburn for now.

Fomby: Kris’ dream growing up was to play for the Wolverines and I think that will be the deciding factor when he makes his final choice. Rich Rodriguez will keep his job after a great season in Ann Arbor and that will answer a lot of doubt in Kris’ mind.

TE

Jay Rome

Valdosta, GA

Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Clemson

Ledford: Clemson legacy. It would be a huge upset if he ended up anywhere else.

Fomby: Once thought to be a Clemson lock, Rome has a top two of Alabama and Georgia. He really likes Athens and how they plan to use him in their system. He also likes UGA’s history of putting tight ends in the league.

WR

Sammy Watkins

Fort Myers, FL

Miami, Florida, Clemson

Ledford: Sammy wants to get on the field ASAP and Clemson affords him the best opportunity for early PT.

Fomby: Clemson = Early playing time
Florida = Family
Miami = Childhood favorite
I think early playing time wins out in the end and the Tigers are sitting pretty on NSD with Peake and Watkins.

CB

Marcus Roberson

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Georgia, Auburn, Florida

Ledford: Just a matter of time. Roberson has delayed his announcement so he can take some visits, but he’s pretty much in the bag for Auburn.

Fomby: Auburn leads for now, but Roberson is still contacting schools wanting to set up official visits. The question to ask is if he is just visiting to compare schools to Auburn or is he still seriously open to teams like Florida and Georgia?

RB

Mike Blakely
Bradenton, FL

Florida, South Carolina, Auburn

Ledford: Auburn is the leader for Blakely as he seems to be their top priority at RB and are recruiting him the hardest, but keep an eye on both Florida and South Carolina.

Fomby: Running Back U will grab yet another great running back in this recruiting class. With Florida slow playing, Auburn has built a great relationship with Blakely. A commitment to the Tigers in the coming weeks would not shock me at all, but this one will not be over until NSD no matter what Blakely says publicly.

OLB

Curtis Grant

Richmond, VA

Alabama, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida, Georgia Tech

Ledford: Grant has played the process well and he’s been hard to read, but the consensus seems to be that the Gators are the favorite because of the staff and depth chart.

Fomby: The Gators lead by a long shot and I have heard for awhile that the in-state schools are not much of a factor in his decision.

OLB

Stephone Anthony
Wadesboro, NC

North Carolina, Clemson, Florida

Ledford: Anthony has been very open that the Gators are the team to beat. He loves the UF staff and the opportunity to play early.

Fomby: While most think Florida pulls Anthony, I'll go with the upset here. He wants to wait until the Under-Armour All-American Game in January to announce his decision.

ATH

Quan Bray

Hogansville, GA

Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee

Ledford: Bray says he’s wide open and will go where he thinks his skills will be best put to use. Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson all have a shot, but I’ll go with UGA for now.

Fomby: I do not think Georgia or Alabama will make a hard push like the Tigers will. Auburn is very close to home and Trooper Taylor has done a great job building a relationship with Quan.

MLB

Lamar Dawson

Danville, KY

Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Southern Cal

Ledford: Dawson is very intrigued with the Gators, but his Kentucky roots and ties to the UK program will be extremely difficult to overcome.

Fomby: Florida, Oregon, Southern California, and others will push hard for Dawson, but there is no way Joker Phillips lets this star linebacker escape his backyard.

OT

Greg Robinson

Thibodaux, LA

Auburn, LSU

Ledford: Excellent job here by Chizik and staff. LSU still has a shot, but they're playing catch-up.

Fomby: Auburn takes yet another top prospect wanted badly by the in-state school. It was Trovon Reed that was taken from Louisiana last year. This year it is his former teammate Greg Robinson. I have to give credit where credit is due.

RB

Dee Hart

Orlando, FL

Auburn, Michigan, Alabama

Ledford: Hart still plans to visit both Auburn and Alabama one more time, but this one seems to be over in favor of the Wolverines.

Fomby: Hart has been all Michigan for awhile, but Rich Rodriguez’s job security has kept him from committing. If Rodriguez keeps his job, I would be shocked if Hart ended up anywhere else.

DB

Christion Jones

Adamsville, AL

Florida, Alabama, Tennessee

Ledford: Christion grew up a Bama fan, and just took a visit to Bama this past weekend instead of going up to Tennessee. He's Bama if the Tide can find room for him in their class.

Fomby: His top two schools, Alabama and Florida, are not making a push for him. With that said I think Tennessee grabs a great player in Jones.

OT

Brandon Shell

Goose Creek, SC

Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina

Ledford: Proximity to home and the opportunity to play early are very appealing to Shell.

Fomby: In Carolina pride have we.
So, Go Gamecocks Go - FIGHT!
Drive for the goal - FIGHT!
USC will win today - GO COCKS!
So, let's give a cheer, Carolina is here.
The Fighting Gamecocks All The Way!

QB

Jacoby Brissett

Fort Lauderdale, FL

North Carolina, LSU, Florida State, Wisconsin

Ledford: Brissett has been tough to get a read on. If FSU decides to bring in a 2nd QB in this class and turns up the heat on him, I think the Noles could get him, but right now LSU seems to be the best guess.

Fomby: Wisconsin has made it clear that Jacoby is the number one quarterback on their board. This recruiting adventure is still wide open, but I am going with the Badgers today.

DT

Gabe Wright

Columbus, GA

Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama

Ledford: Despite what Wright has said publicly, I’m still going with the Vols for now.

Fomby: People are still telling me he will be in Knoxville next year as a freshman, but I am going with my gut here. He loves Auburn with a passion and so does his mother. War Eagle!

OLB

Lateek Townsend

Bennettsville, SC

Southern Cal, Clemson, Florida, South Carolina, LSU

Ledford: Clemson has long been the favorite for Townsend and it appears to be a lay-up at this point, but keep an eye on Tennessee…they’re the sleeper here.

Fomby: Coach Swinney and Coach Steele have done a great job forming a relationship with Lateek. He feels very comfortable at Clemson as a football player and as a student. If things hold up the Tigers will sign a great linebacker in Lateek.

Jabari Gorman Q&A

Jabari Gorman of Monsignor Pace High School in Miami, FL is one of the most sought after prospects in the state. The 5’10.5”, 170-pound Gorman stars on both sides of the ball for the Spartans and currently holds more than 20 offers from schools all across the country. TR recently caught up with Jabari to ask him a few questions about his recruitment.

Crowell on Ohio State visit, timeline

Ever since he received a scholarship offer from Ohio State last month, Conner Crowell has wanted to take a return visit to Columbus.  His previous visit for the contest with Southern Cal last fall had left him with a great first impression of the Buckeyes.  Saturday’s annual Scarlet vs. Gray Spring Game was the perfect chance for the 6’1”, 215 pound linebacker from Waldorf (MD) North Point to get another look at the program.

Myles away from home

West Chester, PA linebacker Myles Jackson is a very physical linebacker who plays the game with aggression.  He moves extremely well for a player at 6’4”, 225 pounds and shows a lot of athleticism.  He seems to play with a bit off a chip on his shoulder too which will only aid the search for his first offer.

Saulsberry shines in Gainesville

Last weekend, the Nike Football Training Camp made it’s way through Gainesville, Florida and it was one of Gainesville’s own that made perhaps the biggest splash. Trevarris Saulsberry exploded onto the scene in his own backyard as the 6’4”, 260-pound defensive lineman from Gainesville High stole the show.
