He's special with the ball in his hands.. The
combination of power and speed Malcolm possesses makes
for an elite back. Add onto that amazing balance and
great vision, and you have the number one running back
in the nation. Does a great job of staying low in
traffic, and his balance/power combo make him tough to
bring down. Doesn't have elite top end speed, but it's
very good, and rarely does he get caught from behind and
often out-runs angles. Can also get you the tough yards
inside. He sees a hole and hits it -- never any wasted
motion. Could use some work in the blitz pick-ups, chips
and overall blocking technique.
Translation to College:
Should see playing time as a freshman as he's ready to
go in and contribute right away anywhere in the country.
If he goes to Texas, as many feel he will, I see a 9-12
carry average per game as a true freshman with that
increasing quite a bit as a sophomore. All-American and
All-Conference potential with a good chance to go pro
after his junior season.
For
Kiehl Frazier, the awards, and scholarship offers, keep
on coming. The 6’3” 210 pound star signal-caller from
Arkansas’ Shiloh Christian was just recently named the
2009 4A Arkansas Player of the Year. The next morning,
TCU offered him a scholarship. It was the 14th offer for
Frazier already.
November 23rd, 2004 was
an exciting day in Columbia, South Carolina. A
day filled with hope and anticipation of what
was to come. The Gamecocks had just inked a SEC
coaching legend to coach their football team.
The "Fun 'n' Gun" was coming to save the day or
at least make it better. Surely a coach that led
Duke University to an ACC title could fix the
little problems at South Carolina.
With the 2010 recruiting cycle inching towards
the finish line, here at ThaRinger we feel it’s
a better time to more clearly evaluate the
off-season’s coaching changes with the recently
gained recruiting hindsight. There were 22 head
coaching changes and not all of those changes
were created equally.
