One of the best tight end prospects I've scouted in the
past decade. He's got the combination of size and
athleticism not seen in many prep tight ends. Add to
that a nasty mean streak with a love of blocking, and
you have yourself a complete player. Jay also displays
very good body control when running routes and
maneuvering to catch a ball. Has a great feel for
sitting down in a zone and can consistently beat a
defender one-on-one with multiple weapons (agility,
size, speed). He's a mismatch in the red-zone with a big
body, 38" vertical and soft hands. His blocking might be
more impressive. Rarely do you see a versatile pass
catching tight end also maul defenders in the run game
-- Jay does. Displays good technique while blocking and
drives really well when pulling. Very good student that
is a team first guy.
Translation to College:
Should play as a true freshman and be on campus for only
three years before he's a top NFL draft pick.
All-American potential with multiple awards during his
college tenure a very good possibility. If he stays
healthy, he's a sure thing.
For
Kiehl Frazier, the awards, and scholarship offers, keep
on coming. The 6’3” 210 pound star signal-caller from
Arkansas’ Shiloh Christian was just recently named the
2009 4A Arkansas Player of the Year. The next morning,
TCU offered him a scholarship. It was the 14th offer for
Frazier already.
November 23rd, 2004 was
an exciting day in Columbia, South Carolina. A
day filled with hope and anticipation of what
was to come. The Gamecocks had just inked a SEC
coaching legend to coach their football team.
The "Fun 'n' Gun" was coming to save the day or
at least make it better. Surely a coach that led
Duke University to an ACC title could fix the
little problems at South Carolina.
With the 2010 recruiting cycle inching towards
the finish line, here at ThaRinger we feel it’s
a better time to more clearly evaluate the
off-season’s coaching changes with the recently
gained recruiting hindsight. There were 22 head
coaching changes and not all of those changes
were created equally.
