Offensive Overview
The offensive line killed Oklahoma in '09, and in 2010
it again will be the key to how good the OU offense will
be. It's a talented group up front, but it remains to be
seen if they can gel and give OU's dynamic playmakers
time to do their thing. Trying to get the ball in those
playmakers hands will be sophomore quarterback Landry
Jones. In '09, Jones was thrust into duty when Bradford
got injured and quietly grew up quite a bit as the
season went along. Coming in to the 2010 season, OU
coaches and Jones himself are saying the game has slowed
down for him quite a bit and a big season could be in
the cards. For all the talent and game-changers the
Sooners have on offense (Broyles, Murray), a lot of it
is unproven. Oklahoma must have players step up,
especially at receiver, and take some of the coverage
away from Broyles. True freshman Kenny Stills is a
breakout candidate, and will start the opener.

One of the most talented defensive groups in the country
resides in Norman. The two starting defensive ends are
downright scary good; Jeremy Beal and Frank Alexander
are as good as it gets at the college level, linebacker
is loaded with junior Travis Lewis one of the best, if
not the best, in the country. The secondary has some
inexperience questions at corner, but the talent is
there and senior Jonathan Nelson comes over from safety
to help. Quinton Carter, an All-Big XII candidate, will
solidify the safety position.

Prediction
2010 Prediction: 10-2 (5-2)
If the kicking game, which is a major concern for OU,
can get settled, and Landry Jones has time to throw --
an undefeated regular season is not out of the realm of
possibility. The schedule is favorable if OU can get
through three tough early season games (FSU, @Cincy,
Texas).

London "T" Time
That's
right -- we're talking Virginia and "T" time, and not
the type that involves your grandma's chamomile, nor the
type you call and set instead of cleaning out the garage
on the weekend. "T" time is "Title" time, and it's going
to be celebrated in Charlottesville, Virginia sooner
than you think.
November 23rd, 2004 was
an exciting day in Columbia, South Carolina. A
day filled with hope and anticipation of what
was to come. The Gamecocks had just inked a SEC
coaching legend to coach their football team.
The "Fun 'n' Gun" was coming to save the day or
at least make it better. Surely a coach that led
Duke University to an ACC title could fix the
little problems at South Carolina.
With the 2010 recruiting cycle inching towards
the finish line, here at ThaRinger we feel it’s
a better time to more clearly evaluate the
off-season’s coaching changes with the recently
gained recruiting hindsight. There were 22 head
coaching changes and not all of those changes
were created equally.
