Second Day
Thoughts
-
Don't like the Jets trading
up to get Greene. He's a
tenacious runner but doesn't
have the speed needed in the
NFL and is already at his
ceiling.
-
Like the Alex Magee pick by
the Chiefs. Solid player.
- Love Jarron Gilbert. Very
versatile. Great pick by the
Bears.
- Michael Johnson at 70 is
amazing. Before the year, he
was a top 5 type player
until more film of him came
out. If he's motivated, he's
1st round talent.
- Sometimes I think the
Raiders just try to pick
unknown or unwanted players.
- Love the Antoine Caldwell
pick. Caldwell should be a
10 year starter.
- Roy Miller is a nice pick
here by the Bucs. Miller
should be a nice fit in Jim
Bates system at DT.
- There is no way Derrick
Williams should have been
drafted before his teammate
Deon Butler. NONE.
- Love the Brandon Tate
pick. Patriots do it again.
If Tate keeps his nose
clean, he's a 1st round
talent w/ that production.
- Asher Allen is a great
selection. Perfect fit in
that defense. Great COD
ability w/ Allen.
- Patrick Turner? I wouldn't
even use a 7th round pick on
Patrick Turner. The love for
USC is getting out of hand a
little bit. I guess Buelher
is going to go 4th round?
- Best Available: Shawn
Nelson, Duke Robinson, Mike
Mickens, Louis Murphy,
Cornelius Ingram, Lawrence
Sidbury, Rashad Johnson,
Andre Brown.
- Excellent pick by the
Titans. Cook is as athletic
as you get at TE.
- Deon Butler has
skyrocketed up boards since
the combine and I like him a
lot.
- Great pick by the Cards.
Getting Rashad Johnson this
late is excellent value.
- Bengals are having a great
draft! Add Chase Coffman to
their haul.
- Another team having a
great draft is the NY Giants
and Travis Beckum is an
interesting TE prospect.
Probably a late 1st rounder
if he doesn't get hurt.
Can't block that well, but
will be a nice flex TE.
- Luigs is another very nice
pick for the Bengals. Very
little questions w/ him and
should be a starter at some
point in his career.
- Mike Thomas is the
prototypical slot WR in the
NFL. Great selection for the
Jags.
- T.J. Lang is a very nice
value pick here in the 4th
round for Green Bay.
- Trent Dilfer is horrible
and should be banished to
local Fresno radio stations.
- I can't believe Shawn
Nelson is still on the
board.
- Good pick by the Bucs w/
DE Kyle Moore. If there is
such a thing of a USC guy
being underrated Moore is
it.
- Excellent value for the
Bears w/ D.J. Moore. Moore
was once thought of as a 1st
round talent.
- Great job so far by the
Saints addressing their
secondary. Chip Vaughn is a
heck of a S prospect.
- DE Brandon Williams to
Dallas. Good fit here. I
like it if they use him as
an outside pass rushing
backer.
- EXCELLENT PICK!! I cannot
believe the Bills got Shawn
Nelson here. I think Nelson
ends up a fringe pro bowl
type TE.
- Atlanta GM Thomas Demitrov
is one of the best in the
league already. Lawrence
Sidbury in the late 4th.
Great pick. Some teams just
get it.
- Good pick again for the
Giants and GM Jerry Reese.
Andre Brown should be a good
replacement for Derrick
Ward.
- Jarrett Dillard is a very
nice pick at this juncture
for the Jaguars.
- Unreal that DeAngelo Smith
gets picked before his
teammate Mike Mickens.
Mickens will be a 5-8 year
NFL starter in the right
system.
- Nice use of a 5th round
pick by the 49ers. Scott
McKillop will be a great
backup/special teams guy
from day one.
- Best players still on the
board include: Mike Mickens,
Cornelius Ingram, Duke
Robinson, Coye Francies,
Michael Hamlin, Chris
Clemons, Jamon Meredith,
Ricky Jean Francois, Zack
Follett.
- Great pick by the Eagles.
Cornelius Ingram is a 2nd
round talent if he's
healthy. A flex TE that will
split the seem w/ ease.
Also, like the Jasper
Brinkley pick by the
Vikings.
- Victor Harris to the
Eagles is a solid pick if he
has the right attitude.
Harris can be a great
special teams guy while he
tries to break into the
secondary rotation.
- Excellent pick by the
Packers w/ Jamon Meredith.
Between Lang in the 4th and
Meredith in the 5th, at
least one of those 2 will be
a starter in 2/3 years.
- Another OL that slipped is
off the board. Panthers
steal OG Duke Robinson in
the 5th. At worst Robinson
will be a good backup option
at guard for the next 10
years.
- Chris Clemons in the late
5th is amazing value for the
Dolphins. Could be a starter
at safety in a couple years.
