Elite 2011 DB Is Ready For The Process

By Christopher McWilliams/ThaRinger.Com
ThaRinger.Com's #46 player in 2011 and the top prospect in the state of North Carolina for that year, Mark Bridges Jr, a 6-0, 193 pound DB from Butler HS talked in depth about his recruiting and his plans for the future. Although Bridges has yet to receive a verbal offer, schools the likes of Oregon, Florida and UCLA are showing early interest.
Bridges sees himself playing either free safety or strong
safety in college. He is working to improve the little things about his game to
become a better defensive back.
“I just need to work on hesitating and taking a gamble at my position and going
for the ball. I could work on my speed too.”
Bridges had great things to say about his school work. He said that grades are
his first goal.
“My grades are great. My grade point average right now is around a 3.5.”
QB Christian Lemay is another highly recruiting player for
2011 at Butler HS. Bridges commented on his teammate.
“He is a good team player one that I am glad to have on my team. He is a pretty
good QB. He has a lot of potential and is a great leader too. He pushes
everybody and makes sure nobody is playing around. He makes sure everybody stays
focused.”
Bridges has a very busy summer coming up. He plans to visit
Florida, Wake Forest, Michigan and Duke. He also plans to visit several other
ACC schools.
Bridges said he patterns his game around the Baltimore Ravens defensive back Ed Reed. He also said that distance would not play a role in his recruiting.
Written offers for 2011 players are allowed starting September 1st.
