Lo Wood nears his decision

Lo Wood is
closing in on one of the biggest decisions of his life. He plans to announce
where he is going to play his college football career tomorrow, and
ThaRinger.com was lucky enough to get one final interview from this prized,
Sunshine State cornerback.
Wood is currently 5’11, 170 pounds and has scholarship offers from the likes of
Notre Dame, Stanford, Michigan, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Virginia, among
others. But the day before he is to announce his decision, only two remain.
“My top two schools are Michigan and Notre Dame and those are who I’m choosing
off.” Said a tired Wood. “Ole Miss and Georgia Tech came after them.”
What makes Michigan and Notre Dame stand out?
“Well, with Michigan, it’s the all-time winningest school in the nation, there’s
great spirit and coaches, and there’s cool people there.” Wood said.
“Notre Dame: I like how coach Brown teaches the cornerback position, he doesn’t
talk a lot about football, he just lets me live my life and doesn’t tell me to
come to Notre Dame and I like how the school has a smaller population with only
9000 students and the academics are real good.”
While Wood is close to a decision as to where he’s going to play college
football, he still acknowledges that there is plenty he needs to work on to
prepare him for the next level.
“My man to man coverage is a strength,” Wood said. “I would say I need to work
on playing off man and reading the quarterback.”
After Wood makes his commitment, he plans to be done with the recruiting
process.
“I will only take one official visit after I commit, that’s it.” Wood explained
late Thursday night.
Wood was one of the centerpieces of an Apopka High School team that went 11-3
and went to the third round of the playoffs.
