        Is Brunetti wavering?

In an overall down recruiting year for quarterbacks, Memphis University's Barry Brunetti is one of the exceptions. The talented signal caller committed to West Virginia almost a month ago, but
there are already rumors coming out regarding just how solid
that commitment may be if a school such as Tennessee came knocking. We have those answers, and more, inside.

Brunetti, though listed by many as a dual threat quarterback, still
has confidence his in his very live arm.

“My strong arm and accuracy are my best attributes,” Brunetti said. “I’m also pretty good with my feet.”

Brunetti was a leader on his Memphis University School, passing for over 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns to go along with 704 yard rushing.

“We went 14-0 and won the state championship,” Brunetti offered. “Right now, we’re doing good, we have a lot of youngsters but we’re returning eight guys on offense but lost some guys on defense. We just basically have to shape up our defense and get them ready also.”

On the recruiting front, things have been pretty slow for Brunetti, as he committed to West Virginia on June 15. Despite that commitment, Brunetti still admits he may give Tennessee a second look if the Vols showed serious interest in him.

“I would take a second a look at them if they came at me hard.” said the 6’1, 202 pounder. “They’re not coming at me harder recently, but I kind of received an offer from them last month.”

Is his pledge to the Mountaineers in question?

“No, I’m a 100% solid to West Virginia, I’m ready to get there now.”

Brunetti also told ThaRinger.com why he picked West Virginia in the first place.

“Coaches and the people there are what I really like about them.” Brunetti described. “Obviously I like their offense, but I love the relationship I have with the people there and it’s just a good family atmosphere.”

Brunetti also said he enjoys the, what some of his fellow peers describe as stressful, recruiting process.

“It’s good and fun thing and I picked my school and it’s a good thing to get over with so I can focus on my season but it doesn’t stress me out like it does some other people I kind of like it actually” Brunetti said.

Brunetti is the #220 overall player in ThaRinger.com’s Top 300 for 2010 and the #4 player in the state of Tennessee.
